Grouting Help!
Hi guys
Ive posted a few things recently regarding tiling my bathroom floor! Ive tiled it and grouted today but im not happy with my grouting i have done! Its not smooth everywhere and wanted some advice please! Is it as simple as sanding down the grout a bit to make it smooth or is it back to the drawing board and re-grouting?? Please help!!
Thanks

Re: Grouting Help!
What make of grout was it? wasn't floor grout you used.

Re: Grouting Help!
sounds like back to drawing board , the sooner you remove the grout the easier it will be, did you wash of with a hand sponge , or did you use a wash boy, you need good quality sponges

Re: Grouting Help!
As above, a good floor grout and a good wash-boy, good timing you should have no probs

Re: Grouting Help!
as above don't think it will be possible to smooth down without re-grouting

Re: Grouting Help!
Mazza, Ready mixed grout is not ideal better using a good powder eg. Mapei or the like. Better to rake out and start again imo. If you follow the instructions you should get a better result, try a small area first, and experiment with timing
good luck.
