Default Can anybody help me please

I've removed the tiles from the wall, the majority of them came off without any problem, however several of the tiles removed the plaster from the wall down to the brick work. in addition to this, in some off the other areas where the plaster seemed to stay in place I have noticed that although the plaster looks fine, when i press on the area lightly I feel it move back as if there is a gap indetween the plaster the brick work. In addition to this when I tap thoses areas they sound quick hollow !!!

I don't know what to do, the other half is away for the week and I would love to have the tiling finished by the time she gets home, but I cant really figure out where to start.

Can anybody give me some advice

It sounds to me like the quickest way forward for you is to remove all the plaster where it is not bonded to the wall (sounding hollow) and board it with a dryline plasterboard, which you will not have to wait for the drying out process to take place, apart from the dry lining adhesive of course. When you set the boards into place use a spirit level to get them plumb and flat, which will make the wall much easier to tile when you are ready to, after priming with acrylic primer. I'm assuming here that most of the plaster is delaminating, if not, just remove the small patches of loose plaster, and patch fill, then when dry, prime with acrylic primer before tiling, assuming that the walls are flat enough, check with a 2m straight edge that there is no more than a 3mm gap underneath or at either end when placed against the wall. I hope that's enough info for you to set you on your way.
