    What Radios do you use at work..?

    I have gone through a few past few years and i am looking at the new dewalt one..Just been released

    good radio dave if you use it to charge batts ,but the best sounding radio by far is the makiter and its lots cheaper
    be good at 1 thing ,not average at lots

    I have the old Dewalt but have to agree its not that good, great for charging batteries and plugging MP3 player in.

    I've got the Makita one - tremendous and I can hook my Ipod up to it

    The builder I've been working for last week has a couple of those DeWalt ones on the job - too big for my liking But everybody to their own
    Statistically, 6 out of 7 dwarfs are not happy

    I seem to recall the Gadget Show tested tough radio's on one of the series a couple of years back. their test results might still be available on their website, so I'll go and have a look.

    went through a few myself cd players never work for long with the dust i got a small DAB radio at christmas no more programming in just turn on and away you go preset stations about £50 for a decent one!

    rugged radio's were tested in this show... can't find any reviews for the others that were tested tho.

    I've got a £5 special, its along the same line as those £5 kettles, but sounds ok and I dont have to really care about it breaking.

    My radio at present is a DAB/FM one and the Ariel has just fell off.... using a brick tie for an Ariel.... hence my reasoning for a robust radio..

    i have the makita best thing since sliced bread, there is a distributer in Hatfield Herts ,who is really cheap and has the genuine uk models in stock, he supplies most of the south with makita tools and always has good deals going cant remeber the company name i will try and think of it,the makita's definately the best site radio bar none
