    Default Snooker room floor

    Hi all

I have been asked to go and quote for a downstairs floor in a house where they would like to put a snooker table into it. I have been asked my advice on types of tiles to use! Does any one have any advice on types of tiles to use, could you use ceramic tiles but just make sure I use a solid bed trowel.

I would go as hard a biscuit as possible.. Vitrified tiles would be my choice.. and as you say no voids.

Porcelain with no voids, car showrooms are tiled and cars are heavier than a snooker table, apart from fiat 500's or minis.

I'd have thought carpet too (sorry for deviating dan), just to deaden the impact noise.

I have never been in a snooker room that had hard floors. Could be the thing about ball damage or could be that on tiles your feet would start to ache waiting for the opponent to finish their break or could be too echoey or could be quite cold (perception I know)

I play lots of snooker in lots of different places too......
