    Default Measuring jobs

    Just out of interest when measuring up for jobs do you use traditional tape measure or one of these fancy laser measure devices?

    Just interested to know how accurate they are?

    PJ, I have a few laser mesuring gizmos, I used them at first. But found if I got a reading say 15.5m. I would then check with traditional tape. Must be an age thing

    i'm that confident i guesstimate just from looking and usually get it spot on

    seriously though a tape measure
    (with the old 1m hidden up my sleeve trick)(joke)

    Id never rely on the punters sizes!

    The laser or sonic ones are ok for a quick measue for an estimate but i d never rely on one for anything critical
