when i do one of these niches in a wet area then i tend to slope the bootom towards the shower bath so as any water runs out

Hi dave, lined it with 18 mm ply, made a box out of it , measured it with the mossiacs first, so there would be no cuts,

Yeah, defo, I make sure I have the mossiacs first, before making the box, then slot in the box, and I use expanding foam to fill any voids.

I've tiled a few of those....... always been built by someone else, and they have always been out of square and a total pain!

No mate, they are glass and marble mossiacs from my local tile shop, prob get them there though

Just done a wet room wall with the boxes. 6 in total, mosiacs fitted with chrome trim. Looks the business, but takes a lot of time. Make sure you charge extra for this type of work, very time consuming !!

slick, me likey alot! i think alot of customer would like that!
i imagine youcantmake them much bigger than a metre though as it mess up with the load bearing traingles on the block/brick work?
