Hi,

Would it be ok to lay 450x315x10 tiles on paint as long as i score it first. The paint is brand new bathroom paint on brand new plaster not flaky at all, behind shower enclosure.
ther is also brand new 20mm weyrock down would it be ok to use 9mm ply for 300x300 tiles?

Many thanks Steve.

no, 10mm will be to heavy for painted walls, do the tape test first, stick some masking or gaffer tape to the wall leave for 10 mins then peal it off, you'll see why, not worth the risk

Many thanks Steve.[/quote]you must remove the paint...it could react with your adhesive...this is also large format tile ...so use powdered addy.Ref the floor...12mm ply should be ok screwed at 20cm centres.....but you will have no guarantee from the adhesive manufacturer..........Gaz
