why? why?

hi all just thought that i would give you this rant and get it over with.
in the past 2 weeks i have had 3 customers requiring a complete bathroom refit and have asked me to supply tiles. so i have taken samples to each of these customers for their viewing pleasure. Now they all went for the same tiles in different colours. so i phoned my suppliers to get an exact price with my discount for all 3 customers this was done on wednesday.
they gave me the prices and i got back in touch with my customers.
2 of them gave me cheques to cover the cost of the tiles and the 3rd arranged to meet me at the suppliers to pay them as he wanted some other tiles for the ensuite. when we had spent an hour at the suppliers choosing his ensuite tiles we went to pay for it all. i was then informed(and this is in no way the fault of the guys that work there) that i could have the wall tiles for the 3 jobs but i couldn't have the matching floor tiles??????? after asking why i was told that these tiles had been placed on the house builders register that morning and were no longer available to trade.???? now the customer that was with me chose another tile for his floor and another one has chosen from the sample i left with them...but the last one really only wants those tiles or jobs off £1k possibly lost.
so if any of you guys have 6m2 of VITRA ELEGANT MOCHA 450x450 please pm me and i will respond in about 2 hours after my pub visit to calm down.

it was the aforementioned supplier. i did phone their head office to complain and ask for a resolution. they said that they would look into it and phone me back within the hour........still waiting for that call....although they did phone the branch and gave the staff a good going over for giving me their number?

CJ - Just had a coffee with Top man at your suppliers.
Your tile will be available by 28th May when its back in general stock.
It's a tile that they use for housebuilders portfolio so as stock is low at present it's being held for their use only.
I can however get you 6sq mts here in the North East (monday to confirm) but it would cost £65 haulage to you in Manchester!
As I have a job over there later this month, you could collect them from me (confirm on Monday) and pay half my diesel costs one way!
