Discuss outside step in the Tiling Forum at TilersForums; Will be doing a step soon if weather permits, the step has a over hang of about 15mm . I want to build the underside of the over hang out ...

    Default outside step

    Will be doing a step soon if weather permits, the step has a over hang of about 15mm . I want to build the underside of the over hang out so it is all level for the tile any suggestions. Don't think backer board or the like is suitable for outdoors is it ???

    you can use backer board externally if you wish

    same as above or use the tile then tile over again
    be good at 1 thing ,not average at lots

    Not many backer boards are suitable...

    One i have used and will be again next week is Aqua panel exterior 12mm.. very strong board
