Default How do you do yours?

    Hi all,

When im wall tiling I always use a bead of silicone in the corner join instead of grout especially in shower areas for sealing and incase of slight movement. I use the same principal when wall tile meets floor tile. Would you use a bead of silicone where the floor tile gap meets skirting board/non tiled wall or would you just grout it? I know there are special movement strip beads available but Im looking for the correct bog standard technique.

Thanks in advance for you wisdom

Silicone all the way, on skirting board to tile it stops water getting to the wood when mopping the floor etc

If it can be painted no because the paint won't adhere to the silicone otherwise yes
