Weird Floor......
Aha...Hope this is the way to post a question guys...its my first time!!! I have to tile a 20 sq mtr floor that is constructed with....joists, then sterling board, then 50mm polystyrene, then metal trays with underfloor heating water pipes, then 22mm chipboard. None of this is actually fixed down to the joists...just sittin on them. There is a bit of flex in the chipboard but no way of adding further support as the pipes are flush to the rear of the chipboard. My thought was to lay 12mm hardibacker with a SPF adhesive. Tiles are 500mm x 500mm x 10mm. Any other suggestions please....

Re: Weird Floor......
Thanks guys...just looked at past questions and realise this is a floating floor. It was previously tiled and they lasted about 14 years but had uneven areas and cracks. Think I will be best to advise him to put down tile effect laminate. I really appreciate the prompt replies.
