Discuss i went to the newish in the Tiling Forum at TilersForums; st David's 2 in Cardiff yesterday shopping great place!! but the floor tiling was as rough, as a badger's, i could not believe it lippage, joint mis-alignment ,stone tiles cracked ...

    Default i went to the newish

    st David's 2 in Cardiff yesterday shopping great place!! but the floor tiling was as rough, as a badger's,
    i could not believe it lippage, joint mis-alignment ,stone tiles cracked everywhere, bad reflection on the trade!!!!

    it's more of a sad reflection on our lives that we all notice these things,strange how when your even weeing in a mates house you check the tiling ............lol

    I wish my mate had checked his weeing instead of the tiling when he was at my house, I handed him a mop with lots of bleach. Mucky pup.

    I am guilty of this, everywhere I go. I can't help looking at the tiling, sad I know. But maybe that is what sets us apart

    I do it too, I check to see if I could make it better and I even try to identify materials used

    My mate wasn't too happy the other week in the metro centre when I was pointing out parts of tiling and trying to explain expansion joints to him

    Yep I'm afflicted too, the head drops to the floor when I get in someone's house, then next, the walls get checked out, it's like I've got strings attached from my head to my feet.

    there are some great examples of our trade in some shopping malls around the UK but i was a bit saddened by this !! who the hell signs this work off!!!

    I check my own work from years ago before all the good advice from you guys I now go in my bathroom and look at my bad setting out, lippage, bad joints, ect its good to see how I've come on in such a short time, but if ever any of you guys should come to my house your barred from my bathroom

    im the same and im still at college. stopped at a four star hotel in witney oxford a few weeks ago and the tiling was awful. The four pillars it was called. drrives me insane that im even looking in the first place

    Id love a new job! Tiling inspector! Wow that would be like winning the lotto if well paid.lol.I'm the same.checking everywhere.non stop and even paving along the streets! Wooden floors etc! Worse if we couldn't see it all.lol

    haha...I'm the same..it goes a bit further with me though, me and my missus will be chatting away in some boozer or cafe and i'll be squinting one eye eyeing up the window reveal beads checking that there level with the window frames and...A. I'm not listening to her...
