I think you'll have to live with a step of some description, or do without tiling the floor

cut a piece of the laminate the thickness of the door and cut the back so its on the slop so the angle is the same height as both the floors

Dont tile straight onto the floor boards. The tiles will crack and lift and cost you an arm and a leg as well as give you lots of grey hairs. A lot of adhesive manufacturers sell adhesive for tiling onto floor boards but it is a load of rubbish! Iv even seen a ready mixed tub adhesive that they say is suitable

As the guys above have said, over board with a backer like No More Ply or HardieBacker. I have put up step by step instructions of how to lay both of these but I dont know how to make a link so you may have to look for them. Tile over the backer board and then, as Doug says, get yourself a threshold to suit the slightly different heights.
