I did a salon floor overnight, was really good actually, could park in the preicinct right outside the salon, no one knocking about, just left alone to get on with it. I quite liked sleeping through the day before hand as well.![]()

I work nights quite regularly, A well known bookmakers, close at 9pm and i need to be out by 6am. only problem is usually there are residents living above the shops.
Worked in Covent garden last year and parked right outside the shop![]()

I've done a few night jobs, you can just crack on with no distractions. Just need to make sure you've got all/enough materials to see you through![]()

We did a 'Better Homes' programme a few years ago and after the 1st day it became evident the only way we could get our work done was at night!
Unfortunately the next door neighbour had the hump because his house wasn't chosen to revamp and he called the Police about the noise of my rubber mallet on the slate tiles.
When the Police arrived at 3am I explained the client was a serving policeman and it was a TV schedule and for some reason they had a cup of tea and left!
As there was no filming done at night we were not visable on the programme when it was shown - but we got 12 months advertising in the Phone books and Free overalls from Snickers.

Night shifts are brilliant in small bursts. Whole building free to yourself, no traffic, and when you waken up at 3pm, you can say to yourself "I think I'll lie in bed for another hour".![]()

done a few large commercial jobs on nites ,enjoyed it no 1 getting in your way .got more done on nites than days

Did years of night work when doing the club refurbs, you get more done and you have peace and quiet. Dont go straight to bed when you get home, I would stay up until about noon, bed until 7pm and then off to work at 8.30 fresh as a daisy, most of the others would have been up for around 4 hours and were dead beat on the job.

We used to do Christmas illuminations in high streets and shopping centres, most of that was nights and high access. Hard graft too and long shifts.
Used to get a funny look buying a beer after work at 7am![]()
Never did any tiling working nights but I did spend a good few years doing nights at Nissan, I used to like getting home and into bed as everyone was trying to get to work in the rain and traffic

done a few shops at night the only problem there is no one to answer any questions if any problems and you find you have to stop a lot of time and money wasted if only they lazy buggers would give you a phone number sometimes the Foreman don't want to know so make sure you have all the answers before they try to sneak off :Pete

I worked nights at times in my last job, long hours with machines absolutely roaring around me!!! good money for doing it,lol.could do more at night too,lol
