Sandstone screed???
Hey guys, does anyone know if there is such a thing availble as a screed that will be as close to sandstone as poss when dry? Have done a few searches on coloured screeds and textutred screeds etc but not much luck so far. Its for a fireplace hearth that isnt used and is just for decorative purpose, owner was trying to source a piece of stone for it but due to shape of existing pilllars and surrounding stone it would be very difficult to cut neatly, any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Re: Sandstone screed???
Have you got a Stonemasons yard near you or a sandstone quarry? They maybe able to help you with the right coloured dust, you can actually buy bags of dust for mixing with mortar in the building trade, normally for pointing purposes, maybe an idea?
