Default Slate clean

Just trying to clean up new slate tiles before sealing and laying but can't get white residue to clear! using clean water for each tile! is it just a case of keep going till you get them clean? any tips appreciated Ta.

think so. i'm having same problem regrouting a slate floor at the moment. i think drying them straight away with a clean towel helps also! but what a bloody faf!

i cleaned them up after about 2 or 3 wipes over, then sealed then layed. plan to grout with grout bag to get stuff directly in with least amount of mess!! ha ha we'll see. probably end up with the stuff all over the place lol. its a learning curve i guess!!
