Default uneven floor in old flat

Hullo Folks - Got a job to quote on and florr is running all over the place. In the middle it runs out 18mm over a 600mm level and collapses towards the far corner.Customer has asked me to tile and have my doubts it can be levelled. It is old tongue and groove floorboards.Customer is willing to try anything to level out and tile.Is the best thing to use cement backer board on floor and try and level on a thick bed of adhesive?Willing to kick it into touch as not confident of good results.Any ideas??

Floor needs to come up, see what state joists are in and then relaying level BEFORE considering tiling. Otherwise everyone is giving sound advice, walk away because when it fails the tiler gets the blame.

18mm isn't enough to be honest. Put another 12mm ply down , screwed at every 6", then your off. I'd use Ardex timbersystem.

Ardex timbersystem is a specially formulated powder adhesive by Ardex, made solely for wooden floors. It is nearly as good as two-part adhesives. It sticks to wood like glue, and to your trowel as it goes, so you have to be very clean. It comes in grey and white and is rapid setting. It comes in 20kg bags, slightly expensive, but good gear. I use it alot, and recommend it.

Sorry, forgot to say, highly flexible.

Have you a CTD outlet near you?

You have, here you go

Ceramic Tile Distributors

Should only be £30 a bag.
