Hello andto the forum
I do the walls first but leave out the bottom row of tiles, Tile the floor then finish the walls![]()

same as united bud![]()
so none of you would start with the floor tiles first then??
so should i leave the first row (bottom row) out and place a small pin in the wall to stop the tiles from sliding down.

It would depend on the job. I prefer to do the floor 1st as then if the tile is the same size and the joints are all to follow it makes it simple once you have set out.
It really doesnt matter , its the end result that counts.

same as sir ramic

tend to start with walls mainly because if you start with the floor you can lose about 1/2 a day, whereas when you start with the walls you can lay the floor in an afternoon

As a PQS on big sites, 99% of the time the floors are the first to be laid, and then protected for the following trades to get on with their works. There are many reasons for this, mainly I dont want to come along later and then have to condemn someones work at the completion of a contract. Sorry lads, I know I am your worst nightmare on sites a lot of the time. If the floor isent correct everything else is out of sync.
