Discuss what to use??? in the Tiling Forum at TilersForums; i am doing a bathroom this week and have chosen to stud part of it out to hide the slope for the stairs , this will become the shower wall ...

    Default what to use???

    i am doing a bathroom this week and have chosen to stud part of it out to hide the slope for the stairs , this will become the shower wall can anyone advise is it best to use normal plasterboard for this wall ????

    you can use plasterboard and tank

    but I would use aquapanel or cement board if it was me
    I know nothing I havent learnt

    I'd use a backer board. Hardie or aquapanel

    a couple of things with boxing in under the stairs

    you probably werent thinking of it but dont remove the doubletack of plasterboard under the stairs as its fireproofing for the staircase

    and the other thing is if your sealing up the void knock a vent hole through somewhere to vent the area, obviously not the shower area
