    Default Ouch!!

On a job tiling 4 bathroom floors but had a close call this morning. Now i don't use my grinder much as i've got my fantastic brevetti montoloit saw but i as am tiling around pedestal (customer would'nt pay to take them out) i decided to use my angle grinder for curves. After cutting for about 15 seconds something slammed in my thigh, looked down and a 1in segment of blade had imbedded itself in my thigh, it bled a little but very lucky. 3in to the left and it could have ruined my whole life lol. Serves my right as blade has been on ages. Close call

Not sure about the blade, i think i bought it from wickes, £25ish. Only 4in grinder. I have had 1 go on the saw before and that was scary as it's 230mm but it's well guarded so no damage. That's 2 blades going pop in 5 years so i don't make an habit of it.

I had the same thing happen to me, I was grinding expansion joints flush with tile (I hadn't fixed the expansion) I was on my knees legs spread wide. Grinder snags zips into my inner thigh, my mate sees what happened, shouts to me "follow me". He leads me to a first aid room, I drop my pants and he kneels down in front of me to inspect the wound. He has his back to the door. you guest it another member of the team, who hadn't seen what happened walked in, took one look at the scene in front of him. Looked flustered and mumbled oops! sorry lads. I still have the scar, but I still have to show it to stop the rumours
