as a professional, you should turn up with the tools and adhesive to do the job properly!!

wall gets wet and tiles drop off 
only an idiot would even consider such a method

agreed if you were going to be doing fulls walls or floors , it had its use in my kitchen however , i am 1000% confident it will not fail , if i wasnt then i would not have used it , simple as that

Paul - the problem is in an open forum an enthusiastic diyer may read your reply and consider this an acceptable way of fixing tiles!
To repeat - we would recommend that a proprietry brand of Tile adhesive be used for the installation of ceramic tiles.

tell you what , just to save confusion and heartache i will get a mod to remove my posts , i am still curious as to what is the best way to stick porcelain to shiny formica however , over to the pro's

you havent stuck tiles to formica paul
you have stuck them to the vinyl coating to chipboard, we had this conversation at the time
