    you think youvseen it all ha ha ha i have poped over to see a frend the weekend and help him out with some tiling just the cuts at the top set up the cutter in the hall way walked in to the bathroom and there he was sticking 450mm/450mm white b&q tiles on the wall with hard as nails well thats not all he was useing the cheep b&q tile adhives and grout in one
    why didnt i think of that one
    he said can i give him a price for some more wall tiling and some floor tiling
    see the problem i have is if he ok's the price do i turn up with a box of no more nails or do i take the proper gear i just give up now maybe ill go with pink grip insted

    so come on what have you seen or uncuverd when on a job or pricing up

    as a professional, you should turn up with the tools and adhesive to do the job properly!!

    wall gets wet and tiles drop off

    only an idiot would even consider such a method

    nowt wrong with pink grip , it has been a month or so and my tiles aint fallen off yet , mind you i did use it in a kinda unusual situation for a specific reason , i have no fear of them falling off , infact i am beginning to dread having to take them off in the future

    just to reiterate, pink grip etc is not a suitable tile adhesive

    Paul - the problem is in an open forum an enthusiastic diyer may read your reply and consider this an acceptable way of fixing tiles!
    To repeat - we would recommend that a proprietry brand of Tile adhesive be used for the installation of ceramic tiles.

    you could have posted whatever you wanted Paul, still doesn't alter the fact that pink grip etc is not suitable as a tile adhesive

    tell you what , just to save confusion and heartache i will get a mod to remove my posts , i am still curious as to what is the best way to stick porcelain to shiny formica however , over to the pro's

    you havent stuck tiles to formica paul

    you have stuck them to the vinyl coating to chipboard, we had this conversation at the time
