    hi guys im after getting a few more contracts lined up in the future. site work if i can but not sure how to go about it we do plenty of site work all ready but contracted through other tiling firms any ideas people

    it's not what you know it's who you know,i still pull in lots of work due to my old man's contacts,i always find it difficult to get in with people who have used the same guys for years and are unwilling to change,they often ask you to price up work but end up sticking with the guys they always use

    I've also found this to be the case, also you will likely need a gang of guys you can call on very quickly, as when they want the work done, the window of opportunity is very small, they don't want to wait, 'cos it's all done when the house is sold, so all the second fixing and finishes have to be done in a few weeks for when the customers move in.

    Hope that's a bit more insight for you.

    Same here,very narrow window of time !!
    get in,joiners there,plumbers there,kitchen fitters there!!! customers jumping around sometimes too,then painters wanting a dust free environment.
    It's all work though.
