I must be getting old
I started moving the stone in to the house yesterday and got the shock of my life “I am old “ as a lad I would have moved it all in on my lonesome in one go. starting at 7.30 it would have been don by diner time. But not any more I started at 7.30 but I was blowing my breakfast by 10.00 and I only moved 2 crates in. then today I was chopping the old adhesive of the floor and it has nearly killed me off. I am in agony It hurts all over.

Re: I must be getting old
Ooh, join the club! I am glad I am not doing up houses now the way I did in my 20's, but then again it's only the comparison to then that makes things frustrating. Just getting it done at all is what really matters, if it's a bit slower and with more rests, so what? Who put a time on it? Getting frustrated takes energy , too, what a waste that is. So just enjoy .... after recovering.. and take your fish oils and your Devil's Claw herb, works wonders

Re: I must be getting old
My back has gone my knees are on there way out and I should go and see the doctor so herindoors tells me. My reply is I don’t need a doctor I am hard as nails me. But the truth is I am a big girls blouse. The last time I went to the doctors he told me I had cancer so I’m not going and I will be ok.
