Grout sealer
Hi,
Can Ultrasolv porcelain sealer be used to seal the grout between ceramic tiles?
I have some left over from sealing porcelain floor tiles and was wondering if I can use it on my new ceramic tiled kitchen splashback.
Thanks
Tony

Re: Grout sealer
It does say it can seal grout on the package but nothing about ceramic tiles.

Re: Grout sealer
Have you looked on the website? Is there a phone number to call for support? I really wouldnt want to advise anything as I havnt used this sealer. Might be that youl have to paint the sealer over the joints with a fine paint brush without getting any on the tiles.

Re: Grout sealer
This is what is says:
AQUA MIX ULTRA-SOLV™ is a premium, no-sheen, natural-look, solvent-based penetrating sealer formulated to provide maximum stain protection, especially in food preparation and serving areas. May also be used as a pre-grouting sealer. Allows moisture vapor transmission. It is also an excellent grout sealer.
Use on all natural stone (such as marble, granite, slate, travertine and limestone), porcelain, quarry, saltillo, terra cotta, cement pavers, masonry surfaces and other porous tile and grout where a natural look is desired. Effective for interior and exterior applications.

Re: Grout sealer
To be honest I would pop down to the shop and pick up a bottle of Lithofin grout guard to play it safe. If it doesnt say ceramics on the bottle Id leave it. That is unless sombody on here has used it and can give you better advice.
