Local tiler wins £3000 in Weber Challenge

It may only be the start of the football season but already the prizes are being handed out after Jamie Gilbert of JNV Tiling scooped £3,000-worth of products in the Weber Challenge Roadshow.

Visitors to the football-themed events, which kicked off in Leeds on June 5th, were invited to participate in Weber ’s unique test of skill and accuracy, by kicking six footballs at three targets, each one representing a different range of Weber tile adhesives and grouts – and carrying a different score.

With his shooting boots firmly on, Jamie topped the charts and was presented with his prize at CTD Huddersfield – the original venue of his scoring feat.

A delighted Jamie said: “I’ve always been a football fan and it was great that I could showcase my shooting skills. I have to demonstrate accuracy and precision everyday in my job so it was great that I had the chance to do the same with my feet in the Weber Challenge!”

Weber ’s Tile Fixing Business Manager, Rachel Attwood, added her best wishes: “Weber is pleased to congratulate Jamie as the first Weber Challenge winner of 2007. With a great prize up for grabs at each event, the Challenge is proving to be an effective way to introduce our easy-to-use range of tile fixing adhesives and grouts to professional tile fixers across the country. We can spend quality time with fixers and show them why, once they’ve tried our products, they won’t want to put up with anything else!”

Weber is an international leader in the manufacture and application of innovative and practical tile fixing solutions, tailored for every application and surface. Offering an extensive range of tile fixing products to suit any project - including adhesives and grouts - Weber also manufactures a range of specialist products for stone, tanking and noise reduction.
