    Default Crackle glaze

    Hi I`ve got some ceramic wall tiles with a crackle glaze finish on them, do they sealing before grouting and what would you recommend ? my customer went into their local Topps store and was told they didnt need sealing ? whats your thought please,

    Im pretty sure they dont need sealing, not if they are just ceramics.

    only unglazed ceramic need sealed if in doubt put a small
    puddle of water on the tile and see if the tile sucks it in
    if it does it needs sealed

    I have fixed Fired Earth crackle glaze tiles and those need sealing..

    Enduro these are fired earth tiles what sealer did you use ?

    I tiled a swimming pool whith them, and did not seal them and they are great

    I've fixed crackled glaze and manufacturers recommended sealing prior to even fixing, this was one I did with Marlborough crackled glaze tiles

    I have used the exact same Marlborough crackle glaze tiles and the advice was to seal before fixing. I'm pretty sure that I used Lithofin KF Stain-stop.

    i remember a splash behind an AGA last year,crackled glaze,i used lithofin stainstop.
    It sounded like a rice krispies advert,lol.
