    Default external steps

    hi guys was just wondering would it be advisable to tile external steps in this cold weather.or is it best waiting till the summer?.if it is possible what type of addy should i be using thanks.

    as long as it's 5 degrees and rising it will be fine,just keep them covered from the rain,use flexible adhesive
    alcohol-the cause and solution to all of lifes problems

    Hi michael..

    To tile external.. you wil need a constant temp above 5 dgs cel... the colder it is then the adhesive will not hydrolic...

    Personaly i would wait a while yet..

    Wait till it's warmer mate - you need to be above 5 degrees

    Loads of acceptable adhesives - Keraquick by Mapei is a good'un

    use flexible for more grip! It always sticks better.make sure you paste step and back butter the tiles to give a better chance of them not lifting.i have a step to do a mile from me.im in no rush but they are.lol.

    i priced up 5 stairs yday and the guy who priced it before me quoted 800 i couldnt believe it when i heard the costomer told me guy who priced it must have been crazy or just trying his luck
