Hi Mark
I "recycle" mine at the local recycling depot (dump) They have a skip solely for ceramics
Paul
I get customers to dispose of them, if it's in a full refurb, there's often a skip on site too![]()
also can anyone advise me, i recently stripped 3 shower rooms of tiles, and thought the bloke was gonna give me a couples of days money, but instead he asked how much do i want? is there a price for removing

Daywork rate plus any costs incurred removing wastage....you do have a waste management licence dont you ?

If there is not many tiles then I bag them up into black bin bags and tape up the end, and into the Domestic wheelie bin they go.
no, he took the tiles in his van and put them in his skip. i just stripped and put in monkey tubs and took them downstairs, i aint ever heard of one sir

i get customers to dispose of now,,waste carriers licence and payments on every time i enter the dump is too costly at the moment

customers problem, unless i know the customer then it's down the dump and the usual lies "just re-tiling my own bathroom m8,where do these go" as if i've forgot from 2 weeks ago![]()

If a small quantity I put them in the customers wheelie bin. If a large amount, I get a miniskip which I will have costed into the job.

Most of my work tends to be a skip on site. For smaller jobs if customer supplied then I leave it to them.![]()

Usually stack them neatly and put them out the back/into a trailer if they have one.
If I've to take something to the skip, just a case of bringing it in the car and trailer in some clean clothes.![]()

Do have a weigh bridge at a skip hire company close by but don't have a waste transfer licence.
Explain to the customer about waste so they tend to take to the tip
"Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes"

Have seen a machine somewhere think its Rubi, that grinds the tiles up into small pieces then you sell it back too the customer for £25 sqm as decorative path toppings...![]()
