They also mention Charles Church and Bellway homes, both were bought out by Persimmons who in turn are in receivership if my memory serves me well.

persimmon have sold off land they bought in east kilbride because they can't afford to build houses at the moment, shows how massive companies with bad management can really struggle!
charles church were persimmons flagship houses(more prestige developments for wealthier clientel)

Dave, Charles Church built an exclusive housing development which is situated within a golf course near to me, on the outside they look great, its when you get to see behind the plaster and how they scrimped on materials that you understand just how much these 'prestigious' firms rip people off, shocking is too mild a word.

This happens quite alot. A firm goes bust then starts up again debt free, often virtually the same business, leaving the suppliers and sub contractors to suffer. It doesn't seem right to me.

they use it as a learning curve, going bust, then the next time they exploit it

Very sad to see a stalwart of the tiling game going down

Been a strong firm for a lot of years and offered an excellent service for showrooms and pools - just goes to show nobody is 100% safe

Good luck to the Taylor family with the Taylor Etc. division they salvaged
