    Default Costing Jobs

    Hi All,

    A little help needed please.

Just starting out on my own and have 2 jobs to quote for. I have spoken to a few tilers and mates about quoting for jobs but have found their answers not totally helpful.

I have to quote for approx 14m2 of splasback and same for floor in a kitchen. Customer is supplying tiles.

My questions are and apologies if I seem a little dim,

    1. What is the going rate for a tiler, new or experienced.

    Cheers

    Mick.

    Hi,

Although i'm not working as a tiler I understand that XX quid per linear metre for splashbacks and XX quid per m2 is the normal rate. A tad more per m2 for natral stone tiles and little extras here and there for difficult cuts plus wear on your tools. Remember to add a little for your fuel costs too. I'll be setting up part time in Jan and these are the prices i'll be starting off with.

    Vinny

    Thanks for that.

Apologies, new to forum so unaware of this. Is there anywhere this topic can be discussed? Dont want to short change myself or price myself out of the market.

    Cheers
