    Default what a

working at a house today and there neighbour seen my van and asked could i give here soom advice so i went next door and she showed me what a tiler had done he tiled half way up there bathroom walls with 250cm x400cm porcelain white tile and had used there floor grout which was dark grey to grout the walls with it when they got home from work they were shocked.the tiles had between 2 mm and 4mm grout lines in places it and the silicone was 1/2 inch thick on the bathtub full tiles into the corner with huge amounts of grout to hide the run of with the wall.he then tryed to fix it and regrouted with white its still grey in places what a mess.she also was wanting the downstairs toilet floor tiled and utility floor as well with 95mm sq black and white tiles and told me the tiler said that he couldnt do it as the floor needed to be perfectly flat for small tiles i put a level on it and it was spot on.i think he realised he was out of his depth and did a runner so i give here a quote to tile the floors and she looked at me and said i was dearer than the other so called tiler and she would get back to me i couldnt believe after all that she had been through with him that she didnt realise that you get what you pay for some customers will never learn i left raging i hope she does not ring me any time soon!

i dont like doing repair work as you need to follow someone elses crap job half the time as people dont want to waste the tiles that are already fixed...well thats what i find.

I would take the job on if she calls you, with all the chancers out there giving silly prices it some times comes as a shock when they get a realistic one.

Let it sink in for a while (no doubt she'll look at the job your doing now after you've gone) and she will realise the difference.

Hope she calls you to be honest

i do find some people strange but hopfully once you have finished the job your doing im sure they will want to have a look at it ( assuming the customer and their neighbour get on!) hopefully they will then see the difference in the price reflected in the difference in the work! they can then make a price based decision or a qualitly one!
