Apprenticeship?
Not too sure were I should post this,
Im 17 I did the 4 day tiling course at North East Tiling Training and the 1 day natural stone, after doing the course I went to Newcastle college to do a diploma but the lecturer there told me that it was a waste of time so therefore I left and Im posting this just to wonder if anybody is looking for an apprentice in the Newcastle area, if so could you please get in touch via email or PM on here thanks.

Re: Apprenticeship?
Well with me already having the EDI L2 off the 1st course he told me its pointless having to start again and doing the NVQ L2 and also I would have to pay the course fee myself which I couldnt afford to do.

Re: Apprenticeship?
you want to phone around the big tiling companies, they will be registered with the CITB for training, if they are looking for an apprentice they will take you on, pay for you to go to college for your nvq over two years (i think) and pay you a less than minimum wage (no set minimum for apprentices). The company will get grants and other incentives to make it worth their while to take on an apprentice, however, not everyone wants an apprentice hanging around their necks! just my twopence.

I'd go round to the offices in person Josh

Re: Apprenticeship?
I'd agree with Doug on that one, you will find that there are countless others in your situation and the firms receive applications on an almost weekly basis, you have to make yourself stand out from the crowd, the more effort you put in to getting an apprecnticeship will show how keen you are and give an indication that you deserve a chance
