Matt porc generally doesnt need sealed. Polished porcelain only need sealed due to the process they have went through to acheive the highly polished finnish.

When porcelain is being machined to acheive a polished finnish they tend to end up with micro pores as a result of the abrasive technique used to achieve the polished finnish. The micro pores are the reason for the tile needing sealed. As matt poreclain has not been through that process they should not need to be sealed.
