Re: Fired earth travertino white porcelain
How can you have a fired earth (terracota), Travartino (natural stone), Porcelain tile (Man made) All in one tile
Unless I've got it wrong somewhere

Re: Fired earth travertino white porcelain
Fired Earth
Travertino
Exclusive to Fired Earth, this remarkable porcelain tile, yes, porcelain, looks so like natural travertine, complete with unfilled holes and veins, that unless you got down on your hands and knees you would never tell and even then, you’d need to be an expert.
The other great thing about it is, being porcelain it’s simpler to lay and easy to maintain.

Re: Fired earth travertino white porcelain
Thanks all.
Sorry for not explaining very well but I see by one of the replies you know what it is now. I just didn't want to seal it and then the seal not take to the porcelain.

Re: Fired earth travertino white porcelain

Not that one. Its possible to drill any tile from the back (including Fired earth travertino white porcelain) But on that tile we went in front end.

We cut the hole into the tile with the tile off the wall (30mm socket) on a workbench.

When it came to tiling the wall the tile was offered up. You can see its slightly out of true.
The hole was put into the tile to feed through a power cable to supply a shaver socket.
Results on: Fired earth travertino white porcelain will be just as good But obviously the accuracy of hole placement on the tiles will depend on the installer! Anyone can do a better job than me. Above is just a result of my sloppy measuring.

Re: Fired earth travertino white porcelain
Its a porcelain tile, in Travertine style / look, sold by Fired Earth Ltd.
Since it is so light coloured I would apply the impregnator, yes - it will help the maintenance for the owner and prevent any possible call backs.

Re: Fired earth travertino white porcelain
It is more than likely a colour pressed finish...to give texture and colour...classed as glazed...so no sealer...but without one to see at face value then it is guess work...what do firedearth say to do..?
Oh and the description..veins in travertine...
...
