Default Porcelain wood?

Just been to look at a floor that client wants tiling with 600 x 100 x 7 mm porcelain tiles that are wooden plank effect, onto a chipboard floor. My question is if any what size spacers will look best, and should i ply the floor first? The chipboard is very solid.
Cheers.

I've just done one similar but 600x200 tiles. Used 3mm spacers and Mapei Beige 2000 grout. Looked damn fine

You should definitely either ply over or get some tile backerboard, chipboard is not a good substrate for tiling onto.

hi aqua....Try using a grout about the same colour as the tile that way the joints won't show as much and will look more like timber floor...also stagger the joints along the length of the tile to make it even more realistic.........dave....

good luck with job and post some pics when done.........
