    Default retrieving messages

    hello all,i am still a novice on the forum,but chat and answers are excellent and very helpful,
    have just turned on my computer and received an e mail letting me know i had some replys from forum members.thanks very much to you.
    question is though,
    how do i read my messages,inbox says no messages,so where are they?
    somebody please help!.where will i find them?,where do i look?thanks.daz.

    You will have visitors messages and private messages. Visitors messages wil be on your profile page for all to see. Private messages can be accessed via the link on the right hand side of the page below the search facility.

    Your emails will be threads that you are subscribed to and have the option set to alert you via email that someone has replied to your thread..

    This can be turned of in your user CP panel..to get instant view you click the link in your email or just log onto the forums and check your subscribed threads.

    They arent messages that have been sent to you, they are replys to threads that you have subscirbed to, probably becauase your set up to subcribe to threads you reply to.

    You can check your settings on your user cp.

    A quick way to see new replys is to click the new posts button at the top of the page, this will show all new posts since your last visit, and you can see threads that you've replied to as they will have an arrow and envolope icon, this will be darker in colour if there are new replys that you have not yet read.
