Splayed or irregular corners
Tiling a downstairs WC at the moment and due to a past garage conversion, one wall has a rounded angle of around 135 degrees.
I am tiling brick bond and obviously can't go across the angle because the wall would need building out to square it off which the client does not want (loss of space which is at a premium).
So I am thinking that a straight joint is the only option, which is a shame from a visual point of view.
Would you just silicone the straight joint or perhaps put some kind of chrome trim in to highlight it?
Tiles are just standard ceramics 360x240.
I have tried to attach a piccie and will add more as I progress
Thanks

Re: Splayed or irregular corners
just a thought BTB, obviously it cant's be hidden so maybe the best idea is to 'feature' it with some trim or beading, if there's no chrome anywhere else in the room it might look abit naff, how about some thin timber bead...

Re: Splayed or irregular corners
hi by rounded angle you mean just at angle not wall either side as long as walls are flat cant see why b/bond cant be done as long as you place a vertical joint were wall angle starts like internal if you have no cracks in wall at angle you could pos get away with just grout id recomend silicone to be sure hope that makes sence
you could ron a/angle (used at door stops to meet carpett) just to give a good visual effect

Re: Splayed or irregular corners
Just split the tiles to fold around the bend....no other way that won't look naff..or don't do brick bond..

Re: Splayed or irregular corners
How about trying to use the angle as the "datum" for the setting out, that way at least every other row will be full tiles coming out of it and the split would look a little less out of place...making sure of course you don't end up with stupid cuts elsewhere?

Re: Splayed or irregular corners
start a full tile either side of the line and then half either side of the line then you can follow the wall
