I'm working but the phone is quiet, working with some other trades. Two builders and a brickie wants a card, so hopefully things will look brighter for the future.

I've been reading a lot of posts saying work's picking up a bit. Some of the lads have landed some jobs big enough to last a while and lots more stone is being fixed these days which makes the jobs last a little longer than ceramics perhaps.

I don't think the banks will be lending for a while though and apparently under 25's are worst off right now so first time house buyers are still missing from the mix.

I would guess a large percentage of work now is for people with a bit of cash and a house they're not selling or struggling to pay for.

I check our forum stats daily and I'm noticing more DIY this year than last, though lots more tilers this year than last. Lots more stone and porcelain related searches.

Apart from two weeks in march, been busy all year, my phone doesnt ring much although i dont advertise as such. Been on a job for six weeks now and got roughly another four weeks to go. Most of my recent stuff has been very big jobs, still stuck in this 130m2 bathroom, cuts, cuts and more cuts!!
