I read your thread mate, good effort, I'm in the process of doing the same thing!

I'm in Cardiff and have jacked in my job as a QS after being fed up of sitting at my desk twiddling my thumbs, realising that spreadsheets are not for me and I need to get my hands dirty every day

If anybody is looking for the same offer of some free weekend labour from someone who is keen to learn in the South Wales area, please let me know!

Tiling can be a stressful occupation too, it's not all about making someones bathroom/ kitchen look great, there's the bookwork, accounts, marketing etc and getting your money in. The actual tiling is the easy part imo

That is a very fair point. In my current line of work I have a large marketing budget and spend sometimes days writing proposals and technical documents, forecasting and a number of other admin tasks. I dont get a break from it. Tiling for a few hours each day would be a welcome break for me....

Chappie Diamond Dom - fortunately some of us have been out earning a crust for a few years and are just getting the hang of this new era!
Real words IMHO are meant to be used in all communications.

    Hi,

Just wanted to bring this to the top. I am still offering free help in and around Buckinghamshire. Really itching to start getting out there.

If anyone could do with a free pair of hands at evenings or weekends then send me a message.

    Cheers

    Graham

Also, if anyone hears of firms taking on labourers or trainees over the next couple of months I would be very interested.
