wickes pva
just been to wickes diy store and read the back of there pva and it states pva is suitable for a primer for wall and floor tiles ??? iam so confused now as a thought pva had no preference for tiling! i used to use it but now stay clear of it after reading pva v primer on this forum. how can wickes recomend pva as a great primer ? does this mean if it failes wickes are responsable? normally pva info on the back of the tub doesnt say anything about tiles?

Re: wickes pva
I would steer clear of it Terry. Stick to acrylic or SBR primers and you won't go wrong.

Ref price – in the total cost of the job the £ difference between PVA and Primer makes just buying Primer anyway a no-brainer doesn’t it?
Anyway – I’m only 16, Wickes wont sell me PVA unless I’m accompanied by a responsible adult, and I don’t know any.

wickes also say there tiles are top quality for a top quality job but the 250mm/251mm/252mm/253mm x 200mm/201mm/202mm/203mm ceramics I fixed last week say otherwise!!
