Just a few pics and bit of insight to job ive been doing this week, 10 mm insulation boards stuck down to primed plywood with bal rapidset flexible, under floor heating mats layed down with hot glue gun and screeded over with bal multibase, 1200x600 porcelain tiles stuck down with bal spf. Very large format tiles with a lot of tricky cutting involved. Kitchen floor is just over 60m2. Any questions or more detail then please dont hesitate to ask
looking really good mate, some quality cutting! Can i ask what tile cutters you use, wet and dry. I've got a job coming up in a few weeks with really large format tiles and i think i'm goin to teat myself to a new cutter before i start, cheers.
Cheers lads! I have a couple of smaller rubi cutters and a tx900, a DW250 LPS and the good old grinder. I used the tx900 to cut what i could but being a 1200 tile was limited. Was gonna buy a tx1200 for the job but wasnt worth it for one room. To be fair the maracrist blades are suberb on the porcelain, made pretty light work of it. Cuts took a while to mark out just cause of the size of tile, bit of to and froing just trimming them up to fit nice. Finished yesterday morning so will post finished pics soon. 60 m2 took me 4 days, doing all those cuts took up the time not to mention lifting every tile and packing with addy to ensure proper coverage. Some amount of bow in that size of tile.
