I can't remember the make, they were half decent until 'that' job epoxy on the ceiling I did tey keeping them clean as I went but fought a losing battle, due some comfy new boots, I can't work in trainers, it doesn't feel right, let alone the safety side.

Depends if i'm up and down all day, then the traniers come out but other than that 'Timberland' style Dewalt boots, they are much lighter than Timberlands so they don't wear you down - highly recommend them - oh and there are two types - the apprentice and the pro ones, and i've got to say the apprentice ones are better than the pro version

Dikies steel cap timberland style..has anyone else fallen foul of over zealous Health and safety on site yet?.I've been told several times that boots worn through to the metal cap are illegal on site..so that gives them a life of what?..maybe 3 weeks of crawling around on floors?!?..seems once again another way of making your life just that little bit more difficult!!
...used to bring a pair to site and change into trainers inside the plot..but that's been rumbled now as well!

Was told when working on a bridge by a heath and safety group (There was nine of them) that rigger boots were'nt allowed because they gave no ankle support

yeah I copped it for riggers a couple of years ago..always bugged me cos they're easier to slip on ..especially in winter when sites are muddy!..still see plenty of site agents waltzing around in them..funny that innit?

extremely comfy with a rubber toe panel which helps when you are kneeling down.

If anyone can find the above let me know as I can't

    Had 4 pairs upto now.

Cheap black steelies off the internet except if I know I amgoing to be on my knees most of the day then trainers or non steelie boots or else I find the tops of my feet get sore where the boot bends just behind the toe cap - perhaps this means I need some new ones and the padding has gone.

Does anyone else get grief because the steelies keep wearing holes in the toes of their socks?

Black steel toe work boots, very traditional!

Tried trainers but i just wear the toes out of them on floors, the steel toes show on the boots but they are comfy as well and decent ankle support.

Why do you wear steel toe caps when you are using large format tiles.??

Do you drop them on your toes often.??

the problem with all these trainers is you can't go to a shop and try em in most cases the first person that comes out with a pair of lightweight flexible trainers with a protective toecap that doesn't hurt when your on yer knees all day or scratch the floor if yer working on natural stone will make a fortune imo
