no issues mate just thought i would try one of these new systems as most customers have an issue with the height that ply adds but other than that no probs![]()

I possibly not the best qualified but I know about some of the systems. Any in particular you looking at.

no more ply
hardie backer boards

Apart from the height issue my pref is no more ply it doesnt rot and delaminate like ply does if there is a water seepage at any time and if fitted correctly and with correct mega addy and treated with sbr it is totally waterproof plus once its down instead of using the more expensive 2 part flexi as you would on ply you can use single part flexi.
boards slightly more expensive than ply however its fitted in a third of the time addy less expensive, no risk of tiles popping off delaminated timber in the future.
the only downside is make sure there are no leaks under the floor boards before fixing nmp coz once the mega addy goes off you cannot remove the boards without alot of elbow grease and hammer and chisel it goes off and sticks like **** to a blancket.![]()

I use Hardi Backer board.
Easy and quick to cut imo.
Only problem i've ever found is that the screws dont sink enough sometimes, so make sure you get some good ones.
I use Marley tilebacker board (hydropanel) 9mm thick 8 x 4ft sheets never had one complaint, been using it for years can screw onto existing boards or if height is an issue remove existing and replace with 9mm ply (not marine) then tilebacker on top.

6mm hardie works well for me and ditra on occasions
