Default Anybody else hate fixing BnQ tiles?

Everytime I seem to come accross tiles from BnQ there are massive inconsistencies, the last job I done was 30 x 30 floor tiles and most of them were a different size, some were 3 to 5mm out, I know it says 30 x 30 (approx) on the box but that takes the micheal a bit. It took me an age sorting them all by size and to get the grout lines looking good. anyone else found this?

    Yes Daz

Tiled 16m2 bathroom and 30m2 kitchen all in 15 x 15 white that customer wanted - inconsistencies everywhere

I know I'm a bit of a newbie but takes an age just to get full tiles on the wall straight much less working with cuts and using loads of wedges!

i try not to tile with b and q tiles as they are nearly all different sizes but if i do (not in a position to say no at the mo) i open all boxes and lay tiles into sizes as best as poss using the worst sizes for cutting and edges while using a wider grout line.

    B&Q tiles....
Just done a bathroom ( well Little John has) using 250x200mm bumpy white wall tiles at £9-00 mt and 330x330mm Black slate effect floor tiles at £7-00 mt.
He used the floor tiles up the walls in a 1 tile wide vertical centre panel edged with a cube of stone mosaic. Altogether there was 3 panels, behind the basin, behind the w.c., and over the bath end as a feature on the shower wall.
The tiles cost a total of approx £180-00 for 20mts and when grouted with white for the wall tiles and charcoal for the floor tiles (including those as panels) the job was Stunning!
The boxes of wall tles have to be checked for breakages and shade numbers, and the floor tiles are all different sizes. But for the price you pay for this material you have to learn how to fix it professionally.
When the clients plumber fits the rest of the suite I'll get a photo to put in his album!
You get what you pay for - and you have to make a good job of what you work with.
If all tiles were perfect the customer would do the jobs themselves!

agree with john, my wetroom job this week (and last) has b and q wall tiles, they are out of square, +/- 2mm tolerence in the boxes, and i made sure they are from the same batch, in my case 21-10-08.

you get what you pay for and they look great on the wall,
but as a fixer i have had to wiggle and wriggle all the joins!
(wiggle and wriggle are not technical terms!).
