    Default bathroom floor

    hi guys and gals, planning small tiling job on upstairs bathroom that has floorboards ,
    do i cover boards with ply,if so how thick?
    or is backi board a better option? i think thats what its called.
    wats best sort of grout?
    and what sort of adhesive?
    thx for any help you can give me

    either 12mm ply or I use 6mm backer board now, flexi adhesive and grout

    Same from me. Backer boards don't increase the floor height as much so are a prefered choice

    Make sure your floorboards are secure and flat.
    6mm Hardie Tile Backer Boards/or similar - fixed to floor boards with fast flexible grey adhesive and screws to required depth in positions highlighted on boards,
    Tape joints and fix tiles with same adhesive (can use white flexible if tile and joint are light coloured)
    Grout with flexible grout.
    All fixing instructions are given with purchase of boards.
