went to price another job this evening,another customer referral!
gave the women the price(no haggling wow) thats great david she said,only problem was when she wants it done,tomorrow,
anyway after swinging a few things about i will start it tomorrow and i won't be working for what the last potential customer thought was a wage! she also wants the kitchen done when i get back from holiday!

i can only do it at the moment because i'm working with my dad inbetween jobs,so i can drop the renovation work when i need to,it started out because i was really quiet for a while but it looks like it's starting to pick up now

Went to quote a job last week,

Lady, (Term used loosely) spent the whole time I was there telling me how all other trades she had employed had let her down in some way,

Then said you're a £ 150 more expensive than the cheapest quote.

I didn't even bother to explain why, I don't need that sort of customer - Thankfully

I often think that customers buy into you as a person not just a tradesmen. so being polite and thoughtful always works.

And ref's are the best advertising there is.

Excellent! I have a hard time trying to talk anyone down, even at say....estate sells and the like. All because I do not want someone doing the same to me. It sux!

I am happy for you, congratulations. Word of mouth is the best advertising. I have to keep my mouth shut, and be careful not to spill too many words.
