I've just put down 2 bags of BAL Multibase in kitchen over screed. When i look across it i can still see slight undulations in the mix! IS this normal? I've never used it before so i dont know - but i thought it should be perfectly level. Also there is a small section at the top that i haven't managed to cover - ran out. So i need to go get another bag - will i be ok blending it in an hour after the first lot went donw?

when laying SLC...You should also float it to required thickness not just leave it to flow...some levellers will flow but flexi slc needs a quick floating to required depth and then it levells..

Now that it has gone off the floor looks really nice and smooth - thankfully. I did trowel it to the required thickness. I've had to pour a little bit more down at one end, about 1 sqm, i've tried to blend it in, but i'll just have to see how it goes. Just spoke to guy in Topps and he said no need to prime SLC before I use rapidset on it. What are the benefits of priming? Can i use PVA? I put BAL acrylic primer onto screed for SLC to lie on.

Well after reading the sticky on the use of PVA as a primer - wont ever do it again. But can anyone tell me how "perfect" self levelling should go? Can you get away with a small amount of undulation by way of the rapid set adhesive? maybe by back buttering the tiles that will go over said undulations. I basically have a slight dip, about 2 mm, at one point in the floor, its about 1 sqm.
