    Default porcelain on the floor

    Hi,

    I have never used porcelain tiles yet is there anything i should know when using them on a floor?

    Make sure the stone tiles are properly bonded to the floor, im sure they are if they have been down since the 50's. Look for signs of cracked grout or cracked/broken tiles indicating settlement or movement.
    There may be no DPC in the house and a vapour barrier may be needed.

    Use flexi grout and adhesive.

    Basically the porcelain is harder wearing but also harder to cut, depending on your cutters.

    Take some before and after photos, alwas good to keep.

    whats a dpc and what vapour barrier do you suggest?

    Damp Proof Course or Membrane.
