Interesting that there were not much in the way of setting out marks on the floor. He must have been very sure his room was square!

If you take a peak on the grouting video, you can see that the room if a little bit out of square, but not much that much, and he obviously doesn't care. You can also see that he sticks the cuts in after the floor is walkable; a fully acceptable method, in other words doing the field tiles first, and the juggling with the cuts.

The way he applies adhesive for the cuts is hilarious though I would like to see what coverage he gets when doing it like that, cuz it it sure as hell can't be good

It seems he works without spacers, which is fine (standard practise over here), but the order in which he sets the tiles isn't ideal for working freehand, which is noticable in the closeup shots. He shouldn't have done row for row for row, ie one end of a row to the other end, but rather he should've begun in the middle of each row, put every other tile in, and filled the gaps, before going to the next row. That would've allowed him to compensate for differing tile sizes and inprecision in his own handwork in a better, less noticable way. By going from one end of a row to the other, any flaws multiply all the way to the end of each row.

He's obviously a happy DIY'er, and given that, the result is acceptable imo.

I would like to know what the reddish stuff that was on the floor to begin with was though.

Check out the chicken in the grouting vid

Damn. I thought I had all my tools. PTS never said anything about using a piping bag to stick down my cuts, haha. I think he did a fair job and it looked kind of okay considering the way he went about things.

LMAO, that is funny. I like how he uses the piping bag on the two tiles in front of the toilet door! Probably the two most stepped on tiles in the room

The chicken was funny but the Oor Wullie washboy system was funnier IMO.
