Hi cct..I used it on a job a few years ago..it was fitted to an existing, very old stud wall..the only problem I had was that the studs in the wall were not straight/level so some of the edges stuck out..this made it difficult to tile over...I tend to use dura wp for the walls as this follows the existing wall line, enabling you to compensate for any dips/bulges with extra addy..and it provides a waterproof barrier...

Marmox is similar to Wedi board and you can cut it easily with a "stanley" knife.

Yes Grumps is right Marmox is a sandwich of foam between two cement based layers, easy to cut, nice and light good thermal qualities, comes in lots of different shapes and sizes and is pretty pricey.

I am sure they suggest that the thinner board (6mm & 10mm) is fixed with cement based tile adhesive and the thicker boards can be mechanically fixed, (screwed with the correct screws and washers).

I used to use it but now use Aquapanel as it is cheaper and easier for me to source.

    Hope this helps.
